"the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated" i work reforesting what it once was a pineapple farm , my father and great-grandfather used the land for cattle and after it became a pineapple farm ( perez zeledon).. since 10 years ago i have been workin on reforesting this area , i have seen how the animals have returned and it makes me feel so proud this has gave me a purpose i dont want money seeing the animals and being inmerse in the forest its greatest reward and not ammount of money can give me that feeling , most humans have forget the magic that resides in the forests . newer generations like myself have realized how magical this places are . im proud of being costa rican.... VIVA COSTA RICA !!!!!!

Excellent video, Kudos. Costa Rica is a good example of how we can coexist in harmony with mother nature, flora and fauna, to be modern and civilized does not mean that the environment around you has to be destroyed. While in other countries hunting is a sport, in CR is forbidden by law, people just stop to help a sloth to pass across a street, others would run him over, that simple fact says a lot.

@@CorLievendag @Cor Lievendag If you wanted to see the jaguar and the tapir, you should have gone to the Corcovado National Park, and you would have seen the whales and dolphins..., and in Tortuguero but in April, you would have seen the massive arrival of turtles of various species...
@@american4427 yes I know, some people went to the Corcovado Park, so maybe next time! We were in Tortuguero in januari, so a too early for the turtles. But what a fantastic country!

Dit was een speciaal samengestelde reis, in mijn geval omdat ik voor het reisbureau reisfilms maakte. Zelf samenstellen is nog steeds bij hun mogelijk zie ik, kijk maar op nrv.nl!

mooie film!! Ik ga er deze zomer heen. Daarom een klein vraagje, wanneer waren jullie hier en wat was jullie absolute hoogtepunt wat ik niet kan missen?
Dank je wel! Wij waren er half januari. Tja hoogtepunten, eigenlijk alles wel, is ook weer persoonlijk natuurlijk. Tortuguero, Talamanca, Rio Frio boottrip, La Fortuna waterval/vulkaan/meer/warmwaterbronnen, Rincon de la Vieja (ook adventure mogelijkheden) ligt wat uit de 'route', net als Monteverde (Canopy en hanging bridges). De krokodillen boottocht vond ik wel een aanrader, net als de Nauyaca watervallen. Nationaal Park Antonio was het meest toeristisch maar prachtig gebied met natuur en mooie stranden.
